Recycling our waste

We are working hand in hand with the French company Rosobren to find outlets for the straw we discard every year. Thanks to these developments, we have perfected an entirely bio-based material, capable of replacing certain plastics, particularly in the manufacture of filaments for 3D printing.

Reducing our impact on the environment

As part of our commitment to the environment, we offer a selection of colours made with plant-based dyes, developed in collaboration with Couleur Garance. This approach allows us to explore more responsible alternatives while offering a rich, natural palette. Whenever possible, we also use environmentally-friendly MDF fibreboard, free from isocyanates, phenolic glues and added formaldehydes.
To offset our carbon footprint, each year we contribute to the sustainable management of French forests through EcoTree, and are now the proud owners of more than 1,200 trees of various species in Nièvre, Côtes-d'Armor and Ardèche.

Recruiting responsibly and reaching out to young people

To recruit new talent and expand our team, we give priority to associative support networks for migrants, such as BAAM and La Fabrique Nomade, which work to promote professional integration and skills development.
Thanks to the Ré-enchantement association, in winter 2022 we also organised our first studio visit for teenagers supported by the Children's Social Welfare Agency, to enable them to discover our professions and our creative world. What's more, every year we take on trainees from 3ᵉ thanks to the association Viens Voir Mon Taf, which puts professionals and students with no network in touch with each other, to encourage social mobility and, perhaps, spark new vocations.

Donate

Each year, each of our employees is invited to nominate the charity of their choice, which the workshop then undertakes to support. This is a way of leaving room for everyone's convictions and anchoring our actions in shared commitments. We support a number of organisations working for children, social inclusion and equality, as well as welcoming migrants, combating violence against women, promoting craft skills, protecting the environment and animal welfare initiatives.

For several years now, we have been supporting the Paris Tout P'tits association by making straw marquetry pieces specially created for their auction at Christie's. During the lockdown, we also sold coasters, with all proceeds going to the APHP fund. Recently, we supported the GoodPlanet Foundation by offering an exclusive tour of our workshops for their auction, thus contributing to their actions in favour of the environment.

Working for parity

After years of striving for parity, we finally achieved it... and then surpassed it: there are now far more women than men in the workshops!
