Because every success comes with its own set of responsibilities, we strive to be an ethical and responsible company. We are committed to:

WASTE VALORIZATION

Offcuts, damaged strands… We are working hand in hand with the French company Rosobren to find outlets for recycling the 15 kilos of straw we throw away each month. The resulting material, entirely biosourced, will be used to replace plastic materials for the manufacture of 3D filaments, for example.

REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

We use Ecologique MDF wood fibre panels whenever possible, which do not contain isocyanates, phenolic glues or added formaldehyde.

AND COMPENSATING FOR IT

In 2022, we began a partnership with the association Ecotree. For every square meter of straw marquetry made, trees will be planted in the French forests of Burgundy, where our straw grows.

RESPONSIBLE RECRUITMENT

To recruit new talent and expand our team, we are prioritizing networks of associations that help migrants, such as the BAAM (Bureau d’aide aux migrants) and SINGA. We also welcome several 3rd year interns per year sent by the association “Viens voir mon taf”.

GIVING

In 2019, we collaborated with Maison Bernardaud to create a straw marquetry vase that was auctioned off at Christie’s to benefit the association Paris Tout P’tits, which helps underprivileged families with young children. Migrants…). During the lockdown, we sold coasters and donated the proceeds to the APHP’s kitty. Each year, we also donate around 2,000 euros to associations (La Maison des Femmes, Utopia 56, the Bureau d’Accueil et d’Accompagnement des Migrants…).

WORKING FOR PARITY

As of October 2022, our team is gender-balanced: eight women and eight men work every day to make the Ateliers run smoothly!

LENDING A HELPING HAND TO THE YOUNGEST

Thanks to the association Ré-enchantement, we organized a first workshop visit in winter 2022 for teenagers taken in by Child Welfare Services. We also take on 3rd year interns every year thanks to the association Viens Voir mon Taf, which connects professionals and 3rd year students without nepotism in order to create social mobility and why not vocations!

CONTINUING

To continue to look for new ways to help others and the planet.
