Our team

Our team is our strength.
Coming from different backgrounds, cabinet-making schools or professional retraining, our craftsmen share the same high standards. All have been trained in the workshop itself, where know-how and transmission go hand in hand.

LISON
Lison
After studying at the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs, Lison de Caunes devoted herself to the art of straw marquetry, carrying on the tradition of her grandfather, the decorator André Groult.
PAULINE

Pauline
Pauline is Lison's youngest daughter. After studying international marketing in New York, she joined the workshops in 2014. She is now in charge of all workshop management.

SHAN

Shan
Originally from Sri Lanka, Shan has been working with Lison for 30 years and has learnt everything at her side. Over the years, he has become her right-hand man, and for several years now has held the position of workshop manager. Driven by his desire to pass on his knowledge, he supervises the straw marquetry courses organised every month in our workshops.

SOPHIE

Sophie
After training in real estate and a degree in communications, Sophie enriched her career with structures combining design, architecture and the art of living. Today, she is a dynamic partner in the development and monitoring of our projects.

CLARA

Clara
After several years' experience in internal communications and administrative management, Clara joined our workshops in 2022. She is now in charge of administration and human resources.

LAURIANE

Lauriane
With a CAP in marquetry, Lauriane joined our workshops in 2020. She first worked for a year as a craftswoman, then for three years as head of samples, in charge of their production and management. She is now in charge of communications and events.

JULIETTE

Juliette
Trained in marquetry and with a wealth of initial experience in this field, Juliette joined our workshops as head of the materials library. She now manages the production of samples and contributes to the development of our collaborations with her creative sensibility and technical expertise.

FELIS

Félis
Before turning to arts and crafts, Félis worked in a recycling centre, looking after upcycling projects. He then undertook a CAP in cabinet-making at the Ecole Boulle to deepen his technical skills. In 2020, he joined our workshops, where he has been helping to create our projects with care and precision ever since.

JEAN MARIE

Jean-Marie
Jean-Marie began working for our workshops in the early 2000s, while continuing his professional activity at the time. After a number of enriching experiences, in particular working with Amerindian artists and craftsmen specialising in the art of beading, he joined our team full-time in 2021.

FRANÇOIS

François
François is one of our longest-standing collaborators, having joined the team in 2016. Before that, he was self-employed in his own antique furniture restoration and conservation workshops. Alongside his work, he shares his expertise by teaching the history and expertise of antique furniture at the EAC school.

AURORE

Aurore
Aurore joined our workshops in 2021, after training in cabinet-making at La Bonne Graine, where she obtained a CAP and then a BMA. Today, she puts her know-how and rigour to work on our creations. We regularly entrust her with the creation of furniture pieces, which she executes with precision and a great sense of detail.

SAMIRA

Samira
Samira is a wood marqueter trained from the age of 15 in Iran, where she worked with traditional techniques and taught the art to children. After arriving in France, she trained at La Fabrique Nomade, before joining our workshops in November 2023 to put her skills to work in straw marquetry.

MARLÈNE

Marlène
After a career in the social sector, Marlène decided to switch to the crafts and obtained a CAP in cabinet-making. She then completed a work placement in our workshops before officially joining the team in November 2023.

EMMA

Emma
With a BMA in cabinet-making and a CAP in marquetry, Emma joined our workshops in 2024 after completing her studies. She puts all her energy and enthusiasm into straw marquetry.

ALICE

Alice
Alice joined our workshops in 2024 after completing a DNMADE in cabinet-making at the École Boulle, supplemented by various courses in marquetry, furniture restoration and fittings. Today, she puts her versatile skills to work in straw marquetry.

GWENAËLLE

Gwenaëlle
After a career as an art director in advertising agencies, Gwenaëlle turned to the crafts and trained in cabinet-making at the École Boulle. She joined our workshops in 2024.

ALEXANDRE

Alexandre
After an initial career in the medical-social sector, Alexandre chose to switch to a manual profession, returning to his initial training in carpentry. Driven by a desire to work with his hands and to value the craft, he joined our workshops in 2024.

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte
Originally from Germany, Charlotte spent eight years studying cabinet-making, followed by three years in design, before moving to France in 2025 to put her interest in straw marquetry and her taste for meticulous work at the service of our workshops.

SARAH

Sarah
Sarah has a CAP and a BMA in cabinet-making, to which she has added a wood arts diploma specialising in sculpture and marquetry, as well as an additional year in marquetry. Her excellence was rewarded at the Meilleurs Apprentis de France competition, where she won the national gold medal. She re-joined our workshops in 2024.

vincent straw marquetry

Vincent
Vincent holds a master's degree in object design, and worked for several years as a designer before feeling the desire to get closer to manufacturing rather than design. This desire to reconnect with materials led him to retrain as a cabinetmaker, where he developed his taste for traditional craftsmanship. He joined our workshops in 2025 to devote himself fully to working with straw.
