Our team
Our team is our strength.
We now have 12 full-time craftsmen working in our workshops. Some have come straight out of cabinet-making school, others are in the process of retraining, but they have all been trained in the workshop.
After studying at the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs, Lison de Caunes devoted herself to the art of straw marquetry, carrying on the tradition of her grandfather, the decorator André Groult.
Pauline
Pauline is Lison's youngest daughter. After studying international marketing in New York, she joined the workshops in 2014. She is now in charge of all workshop management.
Shan
Shan arrived in France from Sri Lanka in 1994. He has been working alongside Lison for 28 years, having been fully trained by her. He is now her right-hand man and has been workshop manager for several years. Shan also runs the straw marquetry courses organised in our workshops once a month.
Clara
After several years in internal communications and administrative management, Clara joined the workshops in January 2022. She is in charge of administration and human resources.
Félis
Félis joined our workshops in November 2020 following a career change. Before completing a CAP in cabinet-making at the Ecole Boulle, he worked at a Ressourcerie, where he was in charge of upcycling.
Jean-Marie
Jean-Marie started working at the studio in the early 2000s, at the same time as his job at the time. He finally joined our team full time in April 2021 after working with Amerindian artists and craftsmen specialising in the art of beading.
François
François is one of our longest-serving employees. He joined our team in 2016. He was previously self-employed in his own antique furniture restoration/conservation workshop. He also teaches the history and expertise of antique furniture at the EAC school.
Aurore
Aurore joined our workshops in March 2021. She studied cabinetmaking at La Bonne Graine, where she obtained a CAP and a BMA. We regularly entrust her with our furniture orders.
Lauriane
Lauriane a rejoint les ateliers en 2020, après avoir été responsable échantillons pendant 3 ans, elle est aujourd’hui assistante communication et événementiel.
Béatrice
After an initial career in advertising and packaging design, Béatrice developed a passion for straw marquetry. Following several internships, notably with Ateliers Lison de Caunes, she joined our team in March 2020.
Samira
Samira has worked in wood marquetry since the age of 15 in Iran, where she was also a marquetry teacher for children. When she arrived in France, she trained at La Fabrique Nomade before joining our workshops in November 2023.
Marlène
After 14 years in the social sector, Marlène undertook a retraining programme at the vocational college in Château-Chinon. After an internship in our workshops, Marlène joined our team in November 2023.
Emma
Diplômée d’un BMA en ébénisterie et d’un CAP en marqueterie, Emma a rejoint nos ateliers en 2024 suite à ses études.
Alice
Alice a rejoint nos ateliers en 2024 après avoir fait un DNMADE en ébénisterie à l’Ecole Boulle et avoir suivi diverses formations en marqueterie, restauration de mobilier, et agencement.
Gwenaëlle
Après une carrière en tant que directrice artistique en agences de publicité, Gwenaëlle s’est formée en ébénisterie à l’École Boulle et a intégré nos ateliers en 2024.
